On November 1st, the Catholic Church honored saints on this day and All Hallows Eve is the evening prior to All Saints Day and created by Christians to convert pagans.
Halloween culture reverts to the Druids, a Celtic culture in Ireland, Britain and Northern Europe. The feast of Samhain known as "summers end" celebrated annually on October 31st to honor the dead. This feast was akin to the new year and many practices involved in this was based on superstitions.
